When secured into place in the shaft, make sure both paddles lay flat for the best stroke efficiency and most effective path through the water.
Make sure clamps are not loose and screws don't pop out. A firm fit will reduce the paddle moving around while on the water. Don't tighten the screws as tight as they will go to avoid stripping.
When using paddle, make sure the logos are facing away from you to have the most efficient stroke.
Don’t let the paddle sink or one of the ends with the blade slip into the water from not being tight enough. (see point #3).
